The River Stour

Half Day on the Stour Tour

This Tour will begin and end at Grove Ferry riverside car park. There is ample parking (which costs £1.50 a day), or Canterbury train station is just a 20 minute bus or taxi trip from our launch point (we can pick you up there if you wish).

We will paddle up the Stour as far as Stodmarsh Lakes, have a short break here for tea, then return for lunch at Grove Ferry. You should expect to be paddling for a total of around 4 hours and to see scenes like this...

The River Stour is tidal at this point but the water is almost always calm. We'll start our Tour at either 8am or 1 and finish around 4 hours later (if we start at 1 we'll have our lunch before we set off).
