Greetings from Canoe Kent! We offer canoe tours on the rivers and canals of Kent, which are just an hour by train from London and have been described as some of the most beautiful waterways in the world. We think we're really lucky to be living and working here, it’s a fascinating area with an abundance of wildlife, history and opportunities for adventure, and we’d love to share some of our favourite secret places with you!

Whether you’re interested in a physically easy, scenically beautiful trip on flat water, an energy sapping, large-horizon estuary exploration, or having a more activity focused tour, such as bird watching or photography, we have something for you. And new for 2012 we’re offering Wild Swimming experiences in 3 locations across Kent and also, for the very active, combined canoe and trail running days!

Our fully guided canoe journeys can range from a short half day session to an all-inclusive 7 day camping tour. We are completely flexible regarding times, locations, tour themes and also departures (so if you check the BBC weather forecast the day before your tour and it predicts rain, don't worry! You can postpone your trip if you choose, at no extra cost).

Why travel by canoe? Because we can move silently, therefore enabling us to get closer to wildlife without disturbing it. We can explore small channels that larger boats cannot. We can glide over shallows to deserted islands that only flat bottomed canoes like ours can access. And because canoes offer one of the greenest ways to travel; they create no noise, or pollution, allowing us to leave each place as we find it, and hope to find it in the future…

Our open canoes are geared up to suit the expert and novice alike and to tour both river and estuary in comfort. Each canoe is steered by a knowledgeable and friendly guide and has room to seat 2 passengers (all our trips have a maximum of just 2 people on them to ensure you receive the very best service) so you can enjoy a canoe trip whether you are on your own or with a friend. 2012 prices are £75 per person for a half day or £95 per person for a full day, fully inclusive of equipment, food and drink, based on 2 people sharing the experience. So please, have a look at What We Offer, or if you'd rather talk about designing your very own trip don't hesitate to get in contact by email on info@canoekent.com or on 07864 743157

Sorry, we're totally booked out

now until mid August 2012

If you'd like to go on a tour after that, do please get in touch asap so you can be sure of your chosen dates, thanks very much.

All Profits Go To Charity

That's right, 100% of Canoe Kent profits are donated to charity. In 2012 we are contributing to refurbishing an orphanage in Sri Lanka
